Services
HandyPeople Victoria provides handyman services, home renovations, maintenance programs, and related home services in the Greater Victoria area. Specific services, pricing, and availability are subject to change.
Quotes and Pricing
- Quotes are estimates based on information provided and visual inspection
- Final pricing may differ if actual conditions vary from initial assessment
- Written quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified
- Prices include labour and basic materials unless noted otherwise
- Additional materials or unforeseen complications may result in additional charges, which will be communicated before proceeding
Scheduling and Cancellations
- Appointments are confirmed via email or phone
- We strive to arrive within the scheduled time window
- Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may incur a cancellation fee
- No-shows may be charged a trip fee
- We reserve the right to reschedule due to weather, emergencies, or circumstances beyond our control
Payment Terms
- Payment is due upon completion of service unless other arrangements are made
- We accept cash, cheque, credit cards, and e-transfer
- Larger projects may require a deposit or progress payments
- Outstanding balances may incur late fees after 30 days
Premium Membership
- Membership fees are billed monthly
- Benefits apply only to the registered member and address
- Included service hours do not roll over month-to-month
- Membership can be cancelled with 30 days written notice
- No refunds for partial months
Warranty and Guarantees
- We guarantee our workmanship for 90 days from completion
- Warranty covers defects in our work, not normal wear and tear
- Materials are covered by manufacturer warranties where applicable
- Warranty claims must be reported promptly
- We will repair or re-do warranted work at no additional charge
Limitations of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Our liability is limited to the cost of the services provided
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions discovered during work
- Property owners are responsible for disclosing known issues (asbestos, mold, structural problems, etc.)
Property Access
- You authorize our team to access the work area during scheduled appointments
- Please secure pets and valuables before our arrival
- You are responsible for clearing the work area of personal items
- We may need to access adjacent areas to complete work
Safety and Compliance
- All work is performed to applicable building codes and standards
- Permits, when required, are the responsibility of the property owner unless otherwise agreed
- We may decline work that poses safety risks or violates codes
- Our team follows WorkSafeBC requirements
Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is our property or used with permission. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without written permission.
Dispute Resolution
We are committed to resolving any concerns fairly and promptly. If you have a complaint:
- Contact us directly to discuss the issue
- We will investigate and respond within 5 business days
- If unresolved, we agree to mediation before pursuing legal action
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
Changes to Terms
